How to Play

Play a card matching the active color or top-card value. Wild cards match anything. The first player with no cards wins the round and scores the cards left in the other hands. The match ends when someone reaches the room’s configured points target.

A room supports one to eight player seats, with optional computer opponents. Once the match starts, additional people may join in Guest Mode to watch and chat.

The 12 special cards

Reaction battle

When targeted by Draw Two, Wild Draw Four, Skip, or Steal One, eligible reaction cards appear for seven seconds. Shield blocks, Reflect sends the effect back, Combo Breaker cancels it, and Draw cards can stack onto a draw attack.

Guest Mode and chat

Guests see the live table, player card counts, active color, discard pile, match feed, and room chat. They never receive a hand and cannot take game actions. The host may mute or remove guests.

Sound effects

Chaos Stack includes distinct sounds for normal cards, special cards, reaction battles, chat messages, and match wins or losses. Use the Sound button in the header to mute or restore all effects. Browsers enable audio after your first click or key press.

Scoring and rounds

Going out ends the round. The winner receives a 25-point out bonus plus the value of every card left in the other players’ hands. Number cards score face value; Skip, Reverse, and Draw Two score 20; Shield, Reflect, Swap Hands, Trap, Combo Breaker, and Steal One score 25; Wild Shift scores 35; Chaos Spin scores 40; and Wild Draw Four scores 50. Only the player who goes out scores that round. Auto scoring uses 300 points for two players and adds 300 for each additional player; hosts may choose a custom target before the match starts.
